Throughout the 2010/2011 season, I will be making picture videos of every single Liverpool FC game. Whether it be Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League or Carling Cup, they will all be on my channel. Sadly due to copyright laws, it proves nearly impossible to post real match video on YouTube, but luckily for now, they can’t stop the pictures. In this twenty fourth video, we look back at the Premier League game played between Liverpool & Aston Villa. The game was played at the Anfield in front of a cold but happy 39079 crowd & ended in a 3-0 win for Liverpool. Gerard Houllier suffered a miserable return to Anfield as struggling Aston Villa were comprehensively swept aside by Liverpool. Houllier received a warm welcome from Liverpool’s supporters on his managerial comeback to the club he left in 2004, but that was as good as it got for the man who won four major cup competitions in a six-year Anfield reign. And on the grim evidence Aston Villa produced here, Houllier will have to undertake major reconstruction if he is to enjoy even a slice of that success at Villa Park. Liverpool strolled to victory, even without the injured Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and striker Fernando Torres, who missed the game after his wife went into labour. It meant Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson fielded an unfamiliar strike force of David Ngog and Ryan Babel, and they made the most of their opportunity with the early goals that set their side on the way to victory to leave Villa with just two …

In this second video, we look back at the Europa League game played between Liverpool FC & Trabzonspor. The game ended in a 1-0 win for Liverpool & was played at Anfield in front a 40941 crowd. Liverpool’s Joe Cole missed a penalty as his side had to make do with a slender first-leg lead over Trabzonspor in their Europa League qualifier. The Reds went ahead when Cole set up Ryan Babel to finish with aplomb. The home side then dominated but after winning a penalty for a foul on Lucas Leiva, Cole saw his tame effort saved. Reds keeper Pepe Reina impressively saved from Umut Bulut before Christian Poulsen was denied a goal for a dubious foul on keeper Onur Kivrak. Liverpool’s failure to capitalise on their second-half chances will leave boss Roy Hodgson in rueful mood going into the return leg in Turkey next Thursday. Hodgson, whose former club Fulham were losing finalists in last season’s Europa League, had stated his priority this season was the Premier League and had consequently sent out a Reds second string. Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson and Dirk Kuyt were not even in the home side’s squad and Trabzonspor coach Senol Gunes would …
