2010/2011 Premier League: Liverpool -vs- Birmingham 5-0 [23.04.2011]

Throughout the 2010/2011 season, I will be making picture videos of every single Liverpool FC game. Whether it be Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League or Carling Cup, they will all be on my channel. Sadly due to copyright laws, it proves nearly impossible to post real match video on YouTube, but luckily for now, they can’t stop the pictures. In this forty-eighth video, we look back at the Premier League game played between Liverpool & Birmingham City. The game was played at Anfield in Liverpool in front of a sell out 44734 crowd & ended in a 5-0 win for Liverpool. Maxi Rodriguez scored a hat-trick as Liverpool kept up their pursuit of a Europa League place by hammering Birmingham at Anfield. The home side took control with two first-half goals, both neat close-range finishes from Rodriguez and Dirk Kuyt. The Argentine winger volleyed in his second goal from a few yards out to kill the game just after the hour. He then sealed his hat-trick with a low drive and substitute Joe Cole added the flourish with a shot that snuck in. The result is a testimony to the optimism abound at Anfield these days, which is in stark contrast to the on and off-field gloom that characterised the respective reigns of former manager Roy Hodgson and ex-owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks. There is a vibrancy about the Reds’ play these days under Kenny Dalglish – evident from the off here through crisp passing and purposeful movement – and real intent in the boardroom, if reports of a £25m kit

2010/2011 Premier League: Liverpool -vs- Newcastle United 3-0 [01.05.2011]

Throughout the 2010/2011 season, I will be making picture videos of every single Liverpool FC game. Whether it be Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League or Carling Cup, they will all be on my channel. SADLY DUE TO COPYRIGHTS LAWS & YOUTUBE RULES, IT PROVES NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO POST REAL MATCH VIDEO OF ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE, CHAMPIONS LEAGUE OR EUROPA LEAGUE FOOTBALL GAMES. But luckily for now, they can’t stop the pictures. In this forty-ninth video, we look back at the Premier League game played between Liverpool & Newcastle United. The game was played at Anfield in Liverpool in front of a sell out 44973 crowd & ended in a superb 3-0 win for Liverpool. Liverpool are up to fifth in the Premier League table after recording a comfortable victory over Newcastle. The Reds dominated the early exchanges and took a 10th-minute lead through Maxi Rodriguez’s deflected volley. United competed until the 59th minute when Mike Williamson fouled Luis Suarez for a penalty that Dirk Kuyt converted. Suarez’s neat close-range finish sealed the win for the hosts, for whom former Newcastle striker Andy Carroll came off the bench for the final 20 minutes. Inevitably, the build-up to the game was dominated by talk of Carroll, who the Reds recycled £35m of the £50m fee they received from Chelsea for Fernando Torres on, when they purchased him from Newcastle late in the January transfer window. Having spent the last few weeks sidelined with a knee injury, the big number nine was an ominous

Oldham’s Tom Adeyemi suffers ‘racial abuse’ Liverpool – Oldham 5-1

Liverpool were embroiled in a fresh racism controversy night, after the Oldham Athletic defender Tom Adeyemi alleged that he was racially abused twice by a supporter during an FA Cup tie at Anfield. The incident occurred 10 minutes from the end of Liverpool’s 5-1 win over the League One side. The 20-year-old Adeyemi, who is on loan from Norwich City, became involved in an altercation with a supporter, or supporters, at the front of the Kop. Before leaving the stadium Adeyemi gave a statement to Merseyside Police in which it is understood he claimed to have been racially abused twice by a supporter. Adeyemi was visibly upset by the exchange and it required several team-mates, the Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, and the referee, Neil Swarbrick, to calm him down. He was booked seconds later for a wild foul on the Liverpool substitute John Flanagan. Witnesses reported seeing two fans wearing Luis Suárez T-shirts — similar to those worn by Liverpool players at Wigan last month, after the Uruguayan was found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra — confronting Adeyemi. A witness who gave evidence to Liverpool officials and the police said: “I was to the right of the Kop and the No11 turned to walk away after a tackle. I heard a single voice shout, ‘You fucking black bastard.’ He spun round with shock on his face and started pointing at the crowd, from where the shout had come.” Merseyside police said that arrests were made at the game but not in relation to the alleged
